I've spent much of my career working in the automotive industry — starting in a Toyota dealership parts department delivering parts to repair and collision shops in high school, then working on O'Reilly Auto Parts' FirstCallOnline B2B marketplace serving repair shops, building dealership software at CDK Global, and later serving as Chief Product Officer at PartsTech, helping lead the product organization behind one of the industry's largest parts and tires procurement platforms.
Across those roles, I worked closely with repair and tire shops and the technology that supports them. I repeatedly saw the same problem: shop owners were paying too much for software that slowed them down instead of helping them grow.
